Bio
MASQ Ent. presents a completely reimagined version of the original rock musical. Set in a post apocalyptic future and featuring brand new staging by Julie Arenal (choreographer of the original 1968 Broadway production), this is "HAIR" like audiences have never seen before. By removing the musical from it's 1960's roots and applying today's hot button topics (Global Warming, Gay rights, Black Lives Matter), MASQ's gender bending production of "HAIR" promises to stay true to the musical's cultural dissent while adding a modern spin for today's audience. The memorable score, featuring classics like 'Aquarius", 'Easy to be Hard" and "Let the Sun Shine In", have all been updated to a harder rock sound by recording artist Anthony Paul. True to MASQ, the production also showcases Los Angeles' best drag performers. Warning - contains full nudity - not recommended for younger audiences.
